A Growth Meter based on monetary remuneration
Corrupting noble minds of the next generation
Satanic Growth Meters testing the ever tolerant
Sugar coated deceit remain ever mordant

Here there is no dearth of Morality loss
With Honesty and Loyalty going for a toss
A self created myth called "Empowerment" -
the undefeated cordon of development

Expectations laid by the corporate demons
Misguided goals set by self proclaimed beacons
remain Guideposts of the Illusory Growth
How can I march on a practice I loathe?

"Move on ahead, you have no Choice"
Can't believe that's my own Inner Voice!
A pit stop it is - this Corporate Hell
and not my destiny, I know too well.

To the Hummingbird that keeps pecking on my Window.
I think this is what it's trying to say:

Open the window Human Thief
This is My home, I was the Chief
You pay a thief what you call "Rent"
Oh this Glass!! - My beak can't dent!

Go ahead, Take away my Nest!
This is what Human Thieves do Best
Incur the wrath of a Trochilidae
A huge price you shall pay

Just woke up from your cozy bed?
Wish I could peck your Empty Head.
Listen to me you wily Thief
While I talk to you from a Leaf

Tomorrow again I shall come
This is My Home, Get out you Scum

Staying Grounded

I immediately felt like penning this after reading this

There are days when I work so Silent
Wishing I'd raised that middle finger to the 'Client'

A Realization then comes from the 'Common' man
"Do your Job as Best As You Can...

If not happy, act Overjoyed,
for there're thousands out there... still Unemployed"
