Marriage - Some of my friends call it an Institution
Well, today I call it a Situation
Religous rites, Food and Sweets galore
Recollect folks in the Hall burp "some more, some more"

Friends, Relatives, Some Known and Unknown
How enlightening it was - and I thought I was alone
The wise, some Unwise
All poured in their Advice

A Sabbatical completed post the Honeymoon
Did the routine have to set in so soon?
Work and Home - a Balance to set
Realities of life, oh how soon I met.

Expectations, Aspirations, Dreams and Situations
One life seems short for all these Realizations
Hardships, Famine, Hunger and Drought
Still seem Bigger Problems than petty fights fought
